Customers often come to our stores, with the impression that they can’t take as good photos as they want with their iPhone! I have the same iPhone model as my friend and his takes perfect photos! Could mine have some kind of problem? It’s a question you’ve probably asked yourself!

And when the problem isn’t with the iPhone?

So, for cases where the problem isn’t due to malfunction or a fault with the iPhone, but to how people choose to take the photos they want, we’ve collected 5 tips for you on how to take the best photos, any time, anywhere:

  1. Clean the lens!

The obvious one! Often, from dust, humidity or smudges on the lens, your photos turn out blurred! So, before you fiddle with the settings, check your lens!

  1. Turn on the grid!

And we mean the squares that appear on the screen before you take the photo! They help you align your photo correctly, focusing exactly where you should, resulting in more artistic photos! Grid activation:  Settings –> Photos and Camera –> Grid (on)

  1. Arrange your photo correctly!

If you want to take a harmonious photo, it’s good for the main person or object of interest not to be in the center of the picture, as it doesn’t highlight it – instead, it makes the photo boring and stressful!

  1. Adjust the brightness at the time of shooting!

Often, we want to photograph something or someone and the background is so bright that the main person or object comes out excessively dark, almost black! The iPhone gives you the ability to adjust the brightness and contrast you want for the specific photo, at the moment of capture, with 5 simple steps:

  • Find the object of interest in your photo
  • Touch the screen and hold down till a yellow box appears
  • Swipe up on your screen with your finger for more brightness, down for more darkness
  • Once you stabilize the brightness where you want it, make the click!
  1. Don’t zoom in!

Zooming in a photo decreases its quality and makes it more blurred. If you want to focus more on an image, just go as close as you can!
