The increase in AirPods sales has led Apple to decide not to include headphones in the basic purchase package of their flagship smartphones, starting with the new iPhone 12.

Until now, i.e., even in the iPhone 11 model, Apple iPhone fans found a pair of wired headphones in the coveted box with their favorite phone that they used for voice calls and video or to listen to their favorite music and watch movies from digital platforms. However, after the “weakness” that users showed for the wireless headphones (AirPods), rumors about the abolition of free EarPods in the next iPhone models have multiplied. The news has now been confirmed!

Something similar had happened on the iPhone 7 model, in which the audio jack port was abolished and its headphones had a lightning finish.

If one considers how popular the handy AirPods are today, one can conclude that this decision by Apple could essentially lead to the abolition of conventional cable headphones.

Until then, the “Apple addicted” have nothing to do but wait for the new AirPods Studio, the next model of wireless headphones.
