Facebook is already 16 years old since the day it was first launched on the internet. Along with the popular app, its users grew up who are no longer teenagers and may have regretted their older posts.
For this reason, Facebook is preparing a new tool, the Manage Activity, through which users will be able to archive older posts so that they can no longer appear publicly to everyone. Specifically, they will be able to “disappear” them, keep them but only they can see them, or delete them. In the latter case, the posts will stay in the trash for 30 days and will then be permanently deleted.
The ability to delete or hide from the timeline already exists, of course, but it is very difficult to do manually. Manage Activity will offer a range of search tools and filters that will make the “clearing” easy without having to endlessly scroll down.
This new function is already available on Facebook Lite and will soon be included in the Facebook app for mobile phones. It will then be integrated into the desktop application.
