The pleasant news of the day comes from Xiaomi, which has received certification from the Bluetooth SIG organization for its Redmi Watch and Mi Watch Lite. This practically means that the smartwatches are ready to be launched on the global market.

A few days ago, Xiaomi presented its new Redmi Watch in China. This is the first model under the trade name of its subsidiary, Redmi. Its official registration with the Bluetooth SIG organization indicates its imminent international release. In addition, the Mi Watch Lite has already been certified by the FCC, meaning that it’s ready for release in the USA. Xiaomi has concurrently pursued certification for both the Redmi Watch and Mi Watch Lite, with model numbers REDMIWT01 and REDMIWT02 respectively.

However, they have not yet confirmed whether both models will be released on the global market, or if only the Mi Watch Lite will be. It is possible that the Redmi Watch will only be launched in the Asian and Indian markets, and be available as the Mi Watch Lite in the European market.
