Just a few months ago, Xiaomi introduced us to the new Redmi Note 9 series which includes three different devices. The timing wasn’t the best as it coincided with the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic in China. Thus, these new models were released both in the global market and in India.
The latest from Xiaomi, plans to launch a new Redmi Note 9 series with 5G connectivity in China. What we know so far is that it will reveal a vanilla version of the Redmi Note 9 5G and a Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G. And for those who are not merely satisfied with 5G, a new colorful box might make up for it.
The new packaging was revealed by Redmi’s general manager, Lu Weibing, in a photo posted on Weibo. In the photo in which he poses with the general manager of Lehua Entertainment, they hold a colorful box which, as all signs show, will host the new Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G. The new box significantly differs from the recent packaging of Redmi mobile phones which were launched in simple white boxes.
The new packages are more funky and feature a cartoon character. We don’t know what led the company to make this particular change, but a bit of color might be good for consumer psychology at the given time.
