The updated version 14.5 of iOS hides several pleasant additions and surprises for iPhone and iPad users. One of these is the updated maps which include new, very useful and impressive features. Some of the new features are accident reporting, adverse conditions, and locating traffic radar for speed control.

The new features do not differ much from those of Google Maps. Once you select a destination and an alternative route, you can then report possible incidents. With a simple swipe up, the available options appear on the screen. By pressing Report you report the problems you encounter on the route. The reporting of incidents can also be done with the help of Siri.

If multiple reports are collected for the same incident, the corresponding notification appears on each user’s map. In this way, everyone can see live notifications for accidents, delays, traffic jams, etc.

This specific service will initially be available to iOS users in the USA and gradually will expand worldwide.
