For years, Apple has excelled in speed at which it offered its users the respective iOS upgrade, compared to the corresponding upgrade speed of Android OS devices. Thus, iOS users immediately and quickly had the features of the new operating systems at their disposal, and additionally had coverage from security issue fixes.
Apple has even been accused many times of practically forcing its users to upgrade to the most recent version without being offered the ability to return to any of the previous versions. However, this tactic does not seem to be valid for iOS 15, as users who wish to remain on iOS 14 will be able to do so, maintaining security updates.
However, it has not yet been announced how often security updates will be distributed to users who choose to keep iOS 14, as well as how often any reminders for upgrading to iOS 15 will appear.
What remains now is to see the users’ interest in iOS 15 and how many will choose to stay on iOS 14, without access to the new features. For more news and information about Apple, visit our blog on the TheFixers page. Stay informed about the latest news and stay current on Apple’s hottest topics.
