The leaks for the new iPhone 14 series are non-stop. As the anticipation grows day by day, new information coming to light suggests that the iPhone 14 will be released without a mini version and with considerably larger front cameras than we are used to. Until now, Apple has been the perfect choice for those looking for a smaller-sized smartphone. However, the new series seems to mark the end for smaller devices. According to a picture that surfaced on Twitter, the iPhone 14 series will not include a mini version, which probably indicates that the iPhone 13 mini did not perform particularly well in the market.

So in the iPhone 14, it seems that besides the basic version we will only see the iPhone 14 Max. This model is expected to have the same specs as the basic version and will differ only in size, as it will reach 6.7 inches compared to the 6.1 of the entry-level iPhone 14.

This change reflects the reduced interest of consumers in smaller-sized smartphones. Apple is not the first company not to include a smaller device in its new series, as similar moves were seen by Samsung and Google. The only choices for those who prefer devices smaller than 6 inches are the mini versions of older iPhones, the economical iPhone SE series of Apple, and the Sony Xperia Ace series, which is only available in Japan. As Apple is the company that sets the standards and determines the trends in smartphone manufacturing, this move possibly signifies the end of more compact devices.

Another significant piece of information also concerns the layout of the screen, with the front camera appearing to take up more space than we are used to. As we have mentioned before, the iPhone 14 Pro will no longer include the classic notch. However, new CAD renders show that the camera will be noticeably larger than we expected. In other pictures, we also saw that the iPhone 14 Pro and the Pro Max will have more pronounced camera bumps, due to the new 48MP sensor that will replace the existing 16MP one. However, the iPhone 14 series will be officially presented in September. Until then, we expect to see many more leaks and design renders that may dispel the information we have so far.
