The most pleasant surprise Apple had for its die-hard fans during the presentation of its new products, was the Dynamic Island on the Pro models of the iPhone 14 series.
But what happens if a user wants to disable the content of the Dynamic Island? Can they? The answer is no! So far, there’s no way to completely disable the content of Dynamic Island, as its behavior is built into iOS 16.
Activities of the Dynamic Island
If the animations grab your attention, you can dismiss them by swiping left or right along the Dynamic Island and it does not affect any related background activity.
For example, if an album is playing on Apple Music and you dismiss the sound wave and the artwork on the Dynamic Island, the music will continue to play in the background. The same applies to the stopwatch, which will continue to count down in the background, even though you no longer see it on the screen.
If the Dynamic Island is split into two background activities and you want to get rid of one or both, also swipe on the one that occupies the most space to disappear. Then, in the same way, swipe the remaining activity.
If you dismiss every activity on the Dynamic Island, it will restore the pill shape to its previous idle state, allowing you to focus on whatever else is on the screen.
