The big Apple event for the presentation of the much-anticipated iPhone 15 seems to take place on Tuesday, September 12th, or possibly Wednesday, September 13th, as reported by Mark Gurman from Bloomberg.
According to Apple’s usual schedule, it is expected that pre-orders for the new iPhones will open a few days later, on Friday, September 15th, while their much-anticipated release is expected on September 22nd.
It is common practice for Apple to hold its events during the first weeks of the month in order to release its new iPhones to the market and reap significant revenue before the company’s financial quarter ends at the end of the month. However, there are rumors of potential challenges in production, resulting in the possibility of some delay in the release of the new models.
According to reports from 9to5Mac last week, there is information that executives of a mobile phone company have informed their employees not to take leave on Wednesday, September 13th, as they expect a “significant announcement regarding a smartphone”.
Apple events for the presentation of the iPhones usually take place on Tuesdays, unless they coincide with a holiday, in which case they are moved to the next day. Although this year there is no holiday on September 12th, there might be some other reason leading to the event being moved to the 13th.
