Xiaomi recently introduced the new Xiaomi Mi 10S in China. The new model, which is the first to be released with the Snapdragon 870 processor, adds to the company’s commercially successful line of smartphones. Before the official presentation, there were several rumors about the Snapdragon 870 processor, which falls short of the Snapdragon 888, but is an improved version with significantly higher performance than the Snapdragon 865 and 865+ used in previous Xiaomi models.
What are the features of the new Snapdragon 870:
Beyond a new processor, the latest model from Xiaomi, features a 6.67” AMOLED FHD+ (2340 x 1080) display with a 90Hz refresh rate, 1120nits brightness, 5.000.000:1 contrast ratio, 100% DCI-P3 color gamut support and Gorilla Glass 5 coating. In addition, it comes with LDDDR RAM, 5B/12GB, 128GB/256GB UFS 3.0 storage space, in-display fingerprint sensor, dual stereo harman/kardon speakers, dualSIM, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, dualGPS, IR, 5G, and a 4780mAh battery with a 33W charger (30W wireless charging, 10W reverse wireless charging). Lastly, it runs Android 11 with MIUI 12.5.
The main camera is capable of shooting 8k video at 30fps. There is a 20MP sensor on the front. On the back of the device, the main 108MP f/1.69 sensor with OIS is accompanied by a 13MP ultrawite + 2MP macro + 2MP depth sensor.
The new Xiaomi Mi 10S was recently launched in China. The available colors are black, blue and white, with prices starting from €425.
