The new application Missing Alert is now available on the AppStore and you can download it completely free! It is a very important application that contributes to faster locating of missing persons.

This particular application was designed by the mobile phone company COSMOTE for “The Smile of the Child”, in an effort to sensitize the public to contribute quickly and in real-time to the research for finding missing minors or adults fellow citizens.

The advanced application is also available on Google Play. With a single click, users are informed about current children and adult disappearances, as well as the progress of related research. At the same time, they help the work of those at “The Smile of the Child” as they can communicate immediately via chat or phone and report any information they know about a disappearance.

In addition, the application provides a range of features such as the sharing of disappearance cases on social media to encourage more citizens to participate in the research or the preventive registration of details of relatives at high risk (eg due to dementia, mental deprivation), to accelerate procedures in case of disappearance. It is noted that the application is exclusively managed by the specialized team of the “The Smile of the Child” organization which collaborates with the Hellenic Police and other competent institutional bodies and handles each piece of information with absolute confidentiality.
