The brand new Mini Desktop from Apple has come to rock the boat! The Mac Mini with the new M1 chip weighs 2.6 lb and externally its design does not differ much from the model we got to know in 2018. It has two USB-C ports that support Thunderbolt and USB 4, plus two USB-A ports, ethernet and a headphone jack.
The manufacturing company claims that the new version is up to 60% more efficient than the previous model, and this is true considering that it is equipped with an advanced thermal design that helps it to not overheat and to remain quiet. In addition, thanks to the new M1, the Mac Mini is much faster, especially in demanding tasks such as code writing for developers or video editing.
The Mac Mini is among the first devices that Apple has installed the new M1-on-a-chip processor, which is based on ARM architecture. The new Mini will be able to run iPhone and iPad applications and is available in two different versions, 8 GB RAM and 256 GB SSD or 8 GB RAM with 512 GB SSD. The retail prices are $699 and $899 respectively.
