The screen of iPhone seems to be set for a significant change, expected to come from Apple from 2022 onwards. As the data suggests, the iPhone 13 that just released will be the company’s last mobile to have the notch at the top of the screen and includes the relevant sensors.
This point on the iPhones often becomes the center of criticism, despite the company trying to shrink it. The fundamental argument against the notch is that Apple has not managed to “hide” the sensors in a different way on other parts of the device, resulting in users having to put up with the specific black frame at the top of the screen.
It seems, however, that the time has come for the company to “listen” to the criticisms and make changes to its new devices, with the release of iPhone 14. More specifically, reputable analyst and Apple expert, Ming Chi-Kuo, reports that the company in 2022 will release a device with a screen without a notch for the first time.
The analyst mentions that the camera in the next iPhones will be located in a punch hole at the top left corner of the screen, while at the back, the sensors will reach 48MP. Concerning the Touch ID, however, it is said to go under the screen as early as 2023.
Moreover, research from the analyst concludes that 2023 will not be the release year of the foldable iPhone and that it is moved to the program of 2024 – maybe even later. However, an iPhone SE with 5G capabilities is expected to be released in spring. Of course, all this remains in the realm of rumor, as nothing has been confirmed by the company. Therefore, we are left to see which of these rumors will become a reality and when. TheFixers are dedicated to keep you updated on every news about Apple.
