How to share your location
The first step is to open your chat with the person you want to share your location with. At the bottom left of the screen, you will find the icon with the four dots on the toolbar. Tap it and then select Location from the menu that will appear. At this point, you are given several options. Firstly, you can share any location you want, simply by searching for it by name. This particular choice is especially useful if you want to give directions to someone to get somewhere.
You can also share your live location, enabling others to see your movement on the map with the Start Sharing Live Location. Your location will be shared for 60 minutes by default. If you wish to finish it before those 60 minutes pass, tap ‘Stop Sharing Live Location‘.
If you want to share your static location, or some point that you cannot find through search, then you can press the pin icon, move the map and press Send Location when the pin is at the point you want to share.
