From the moment Apple presented the iPhone 14 Pro and the clever way it found to hide and simultaneously utilize the presence of the notch on the screen with Dynamic Island, the corresponding Android apps that copied its function didn’t take long to appear.

Until today, we have not seen an official implementation that is part of the user interface of a device, either from Google or from another manufacturer. However, according to a tweet by a senior executive of realme, the Chinese company is preparing its own version of Dynamic Island, the Mini Capsule.

This executive rushed to delete the tweet, but it was already too late, as users managed to… capture the moment!

And it’s not just the deleted tweet, as shortly after a video leaked on Twitter showing how the Mini Capsule works. The Mini Capsule expands around the hole of the selfie cam to display information about the device’s charge, as soon as it is connected to the plug.

So it seems realme will be the first company to officially offer its own iteration of the much-discussed Dynamic Island – provided that the Mini Capsule also offers other functions.

Dynamic Island from Huawei?

And since the company is a subsidiary of BBK Electronics, which has under its umbrella also Oppo, OnePlus and Vivo, it is not unlikely to see similar variants in the rest of the group’s subsidiaries.

However, rumors suggest that Huawei is also preparing its own version of the Dynamic Island, which is said to be introduced along with the new devices of the Nova 11 series, scheduled to be announced in the first half of the year.
