With significant improvements in all areas and changes that make it more practical as a computer, comes the updated Lenovo X1 Fold!
It’s been over two years since Lenovo caught the attention of the technology world with the presentation of the first foldable laptop, thinkpad X1 Fold. However, Lenovo continues to back this particular idea of having a laptop with a flexible display inside.
Significant Improvements
The most visible improvement of the new generation X1 Fold is the larger size of its internal display, which becomes more impressive during use, but also provides some other significant advantages.
The most important thing is that even when “folded” at an angle, which reminds a regular laptop, each half now has a larger size. With this change, the new X1 Fold has a larger lower half for the virtual keyboard and the trackpad, as well as a larger display for the user to use on the upper half of it.
Changes in the keyboard
Changes have been made to the X1 Fold’s physical keyboard as well. The most significant of which is its larger size, offering comfort for continuous text typing. The trackpad, which admittedly was “limited” in the first version of the X1 Fold, is also larger, while the keyboard itself fits differently on the foldable laptop. Moreover, it can now be carried separately from the X1 Fold itself, while the company states that it has significantly improved the performance of its battery, even though it is no longer charging from the laptop itself.
The most significant change Lenovo has made to the new X1 Fold, however, comes in conjunction with the better “understanding” Windows 11 now has for something different. The company has significantly improved how its own applications adjust the operating system to the different positions and different sizes that the screen can have. The speed with which adaptation is made and the reliability that it will always be done correctly, is at a level that makes switching and using the X1 Fold easier and faster.
