The new MacBook Pro 13 is by far the fastest model from Apple. With the M1 processor chip it can create Xcode code 2.8x faster than the 13-inch Intel Pro, also delivering a composite 3D title in Final Cut Pro up to 5.9x faster. Additionally, it can perform ML tasks much faster, specifically up to 11x faster, and can play ProRes 8K video on DaVinci Resolve without causing problems in the frames.
Comparing the MacBook Pro 13 with the MacBook Air we could find differences in performance. Even though the chipset is the same, the Pro has a cooling fan while the Air does not. In addition, the Pro is superior with a touch bar, brighter screen, better stereo speakers, higher quality microphones and a longer battery life.
To be precise, the MacBook Pro 13’s battery has the longest lifespan of any Apple laptop to date. In fact, it is twice as long as the previous model with an Intel chip. If we translate it into real-time we have 17 hours of web surfing and 20 hours of playback of the Apple TV’s movies. Not bad at all!
