Lenovo is the first company in the world to launch the Snapdragon 870 SoC in a technology device other than a smartphone, specifically the Motorola Edge S. The model is initially going to be released in the Chinese market, followed by the rest of the countries where it may be available under a different commercial name. According to Evan Blass, it will be released in the West as Moto G100.
Among the technical features of the Motorola Edge S, the 6.7” FHD+ IPS LCD (2520 x 1080) screen with a 90Hz image refresh rate and the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor stand out. The phone has 6GB/8GB RAM, 128GB/256GB UFS 3.1 storage space, a quad 64MP f/1.7 (6K/30fps or 4K/60fps) + 16MP ultrawide + 2MP depth + ToF camera system, a dual 16MP + 8MP ultrawide front camera, WiFi 5, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, NFC, 5G, Android 11 operating system and a 5000mAh battery with a 20W charger, while it retains the 3.5mm headphone jack.
How much would one need to spend to get it? The price amounts to approximately €255 for the 6GB + 128GB version and €355 for the 8GB + 256GB version.
