The Samsung S22 Galaxy Ultra is the next model that Samsung will launch and bets have already started for its updated features. Many people associate its name (S22) with a main camera sensor of 200 Megapixels!
If confirmed, it will be the first sensor of its kind to be installed on a smartphone. However, the competitive Xiaomi might manage to release a smartphone with a 200 Megapixel sensor, before the official release of the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra.
But why is there so much talk about this particular sensor? On one hand, because it will be equipped with a special pixel combining technology for better performance in low light conditions. On the other hand, because the size of each pixel is said to be at 0.64 mm, which is noticeably smaller than the pixel size of the 50 Megapixel ISOCELL GN2 sensor that Samsung presented earlier in 2021.
