At the latest one-hour online Apple Event, named “Peek Performance”, we saw impressive new models from the company in various product categories. New iPhone SE, upgraded iPad Air, refreshed Studio Display screen, and the most powerful ever Mac chip, which will make its debut on the new professional Mac Studio system.
Undoubtedly, the spotlights were stolen by the much-anticipated iPhone SE, the company’s new wallet-friendly smartphone. Although it visually resembles its older equivalent model, inside it is fully upgraded, having an A15 Bionic chip, longer battery life, and 5G connectivity. The screen size is 4.7 inches, and the rear camera is 12MP. Its price starts at €539. It will be available in the Greek market from March 25, while pre-orders will open on the 18th of the same month.
Two new color appearances for the iPhone 13 were also presented, in shades of green.
For the iPad Air, Apple announced that its new version will include the Apple M1 processor, which we have seen so far in more expensive models of the company. In addition, the new iPad Air supports 5G networks and includes advanced sensors in the front 12MP camera. Their price starts from €749 and will be released in Greece on March 25.
Perhaps the most significant announcement of the event, however, came towards the end of the event. Apple introduced the new system for professionals, the Mac Studio. With the M1 Ultra chip, which is up to 80% faster than a Mac Pro, Thunderbolt 4 ports, USB-C, and USB-A, and WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5 for wireless connectivity, the new Mac Studio system is guaranteed to meet all the demands of a professional environment.
In addition to the new system, we also saw the Studio Display screen, a 27-inch 5K Retina screen, with 600 units of brightness. It has an A13 Bionic chip, a 12MP camera, six built-in speakers, microphones, and four USB – C ports. The starting price rises to €1,749.
Finally, at the event, Apple’s new peripherals were presented. In fact, the Magic Keyboard with Touch ID and a numeric keypad, the Magic Mouse, and the Magic Trackpad are now available in black color, in addition to the classic white.
