The Galaxy Z Flip 4 has been a huge success, making foldable cell phones trendy again. However, Samsung fans are “complaining” about the second screen and asking for improvements!
The 1.9″ AMOLED screen, located on the back of the smartphone, can be used with the CoverScreen OS app, but it is minimally useful on a daily basis because it is small.
It seems that Samsung is listening to the users’ appeals! Reports suggest that the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 will have an external screen of about 3 inches. In other words, it will be 50% larger than the one of Galaxy Z Flip 4.
Improvements in the hinges as well
With a larger secondary screen, obviously Samsung will try to add other, more useful functions, in order to fully exploit this major change. What has leaked is that the company is going to use a different hinge design that could reduce the visibility of the seam. It’s still unclear whether the feel of the fold will actually be reduced.
For now, all we can do is wait for Samsung to confirm all this information. Of course, this is not expected to happen before August 2023, when the new generation of the company’s foldables will be presented.
