Official Presentation of the New MacBook Pro with M3 Innovations by Apple

In the recent “Scary Fast” presentation, Apple unveiled the new MacBook Pro 14″ and 16″, offering multiple versions, all equipped with the innovative M3 chips.

The base version includes the 14″ model with an M3 chip and comes without the Touch Bar on the keyboard. This marks the evolution of the MacBook Pro 13″ with M1 chip, with a bigger and more expensive upgrade. A decisive upgrade in the device’s internals is the new M3 chip, while aesthetically (in M3 Pro and M3 Max versions) a new color option is offered, Space Black, which according to Apple reduces fingerprints.

The new chipset series offers a new era for their laptops’ battery life. Apple claims that the 16″ MacBook Pro with M3 Pro chip can reach 22 hours of continuous use with one charge. The 14″ models have smaller batteries and thus the duration is reduced while the M3 Max versions also have a shorter battery life due to their powerful GPUs. The upgraded version of the more affordable M3 MacBook Pro 14″ constitutes the biggest improvement from its predecessor, due to the elimination of the thick bezel and the addition of a notch, integrating it into the lineup of bigger laptops with the Liquid Retina XDR screen and the support of the new AV1 decoding. The new MacBooks have three Thunderbolt ports, an HDMI port, an SD card reader, and a MagSafe port for charging. The screens are said to offer 600 nits of brightness, an increase of 20% compared to previous models.

The basic M3 MacBook Pro 14″ model has a starting price of $1,599 with 8 GB Ram and 512 GB of storage, with the 1 TB option costing an additional $200. The 14″ version with the M3 Pro chip starts at $1,999 with an 18 GB Ram and 512 GB of storage, with the option of 1 TB and the 96W USB-C power adapter reaching $2,399. The M3 Max version with 36 GB Ram and 1 TB storage is priced at $3,199.

The MacBook Pro 16″ starts at $2,499 with an M3 Pro chip, 18 GB Ram, and 512 GB of storage, while the top version with M3 Max, 36 GB Ram, and 1 TB storage reaches $3,699.
