Upgrades and New Features with the Release of iOS 17.2 by Apple

Apple recently released the iOS 17.2 beta version, bringing to light multiple innovative features and improvements. Among them, the Journal app stands out, a digital diary tool that allows users to record their personal experiences. However, aspects of the Journal that were analyzed in June, raises questions about the use of machine learning (A.I) to create automatic records through photos, athletic data, location data and others. More specifically, the Journal will suggest moments for recording, with suggestions inspired by the iPhone’s machine learning (A.I.). The Journal app is offered with encryption and can be protected via the use of Face ID or Touch ID.

The Journal app is the ideal tool for recalling and reliving moments you’ve chosen. Capture your thoughts in significant circumstances or everyday life. Enrich your memories with photos, music, recordings, and other elements. Record and refer to special moments to reminisce or to set new goals. Using your iPhone, you can get customized recommendations for moments worth reflecting and recording, based on data such as photos, locations, music, exercise, and more, all leveraging the device’s A.I capability. – Apple
