Samsung Galaxy S24: Detailed Review and Impressive Rating in its Repair

The YouTube channel PBKreviews gave an interesting inside look at Samsung’s Galaxy S24 through a detailed disassembly process, following the same pattern for the Galaxy S24 Ultra as well.

The basic model Galaxy S24 also features an impressive large copper vapor chamber, almost double in size compared to its predecessor, exactly like the Ultra model. To expose the interior of the device, the back plate must be removed, a process that requires applying heat.

The camera lens covers can be replaced independently. Unlike the S24+ and S24 Ultra models, the Galaxy S24 does not include a UWB antenna. The main board of the phone remains faithful to last year’s double-layer design. The 12 MP front camera, although glued in, shows that it can only be replaced via a special removal process.

As far as the replacement is concerned, the S24’s battery is simply removed with the help of a pull strap. However, the screen appears to be the most difficult to remove, with the risk of being damaged during the process, unless replacement is necessary due to pre-existing damage.

In conclusion, the Galaxy S24 ranks high in terms of ease of repair, with a score of 9 out of 10. The device stands out for the availability of spare parts, simplicity in battery replacement, and other critical components such as the charging port. However, the internal organization and the screen replacement process are not that convenient, as the device scored 1.5 out of the possible 2 points in these categories.
