Apple is set to impress the technology community again with the release of its new iPhone 16 series, introducing significant upgrades and changes in the design of the devices. A recent picture of the dummy units, published on the social networking site X, reveals the design elements of the entire series.
Despite the fact that the new models seem to maintain the general design of the previous generation, Apple seems to have made several changes that affect the appearance and feel of the phones in the user’s hand. One of the most significant new features is the increase in screen sizes on the Pro models. In particular, the iPhone 16 Pro is expected to have a 6.3-inch screen, while the iPhone 16 Pro Max may reach 6.9 inches. The non-Pro models will retain the existing screen sizes, with the iPhone 16 remaining at 6.1 inches and the iPhone 16 Plus at 6.7 inches.
The tipster Sonny Dickson’s post confirmed the rumor that the Pro models will be noticeably larger than the non-Pro, emphasizing the distinction between the two categories. Also, it seems that the Pro Max model will be particularly impressive in size and weight compared to the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
Another significant change revealed by the leak is the removal of the diagonally aligned row of cameras on the basic models, in favor of a vertical system. This change seems to support the capturing of spatial video, while the flash unit is moved out of the camera bump.
Although the leak does not reveal other rumored changes, there are indications for the addition of an Action Button on the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus, as well as a Capture Button focused on the functionality of the camera. These innovations are expected to further enhance the flexibility and interactivity of the devices, offering more possibilities for interaction with applications and content.
