In the context of upgrades introduced with iOS 18, Apple adds two new features to the built-in Weather app.
The first upgrade concerns the display of the actual temperature and the “Feels like” temperature. This second value provides users with a more accurate picture of weather feeling, taking into account factors such as humidity, wind speeds, and sunshine.
With iOS 18, the Weather app will display both the actual temperature and the “Feels like” temperature at the top of the screen. The current temperature will appear in large numbers, while the “Feels like” temperature will appear right below with a smaller font and different color. This difference will be visible when the difference between the two values is significant. If there is not a significant difference, the “Feels like” temperature will not be displayed.
The second upgrade concerns the integration of the Weather app with the Contacts app. Just like the Apple Maps app uses home and work addresses from the contact card for easy navigation, the Weather app will automatically add these addresses to the monitored locations. These changes will be available not only on the iPhone’s Weather app with iOS 18, but also on the Weather app on the iPad with iPadOS 18, as well as on Mac with the upcoming macOS 15 Sequoia update.
