New images created by David Kowalski in collaboration with Pigtou give an exciting preview of Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 6, predicting it will stand out from the competition among folded devices when it is released next summer.
Although the Galaxy Z Fold 5 has been recognized as one of the top folded devices, Samsung seems to be seeking ways to make the next model even more attractive. A recent patent filing by the company indicates that the Galaxy Z Fold 6 will be thinner than its predecessor, a feature many users are looking for.
The new device also appears to be wider than the previous model, with larger external and internal screens and a changed aspect ratio. To ensure that the slimmer profile does not affect durability, Samsung is reported to be working on new hinge designs. One such hinge seems to have multiple casings symmetrically placed around it, thereby ensuring a uniform distribution of screen load.
The renders reveal a refreshed design for the camera array, with camera units directly placed at the back of the device. Although the final design of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 may differ from that shown in the renders, indications suggest the device will be thinner and wider. These changes in dimensions, possibly in combination with a possible price reduction, could help Samsung strengthen its position in the market of folded devices.
