The Apple’s Wonderlust event kicked off with announcements for the Apple Watch, before the new iPhone 15 was announced.
The Apple Watch Series 9 and the new version of the Apple Watch Ultra were presented. Let’s meet the Apple Watch Ultra 2, which is slightly more… Ultra than the previous one, with improvements in the screen, monitoring capabilities, and of course, the built-in chip.
Like the Series 9, it features the Apple S9 chip, which is 60% faster in the CPU and 30% in the GPU. The capabilities of the Neural Engine have doubled in processing speed. Thus, the recognition of voice commands is even faster and with greater accuracy.
The Watch Ultra 2 screen has also improved, with brightness reaching 3000 nits and being adjustable even at 1 nit in very low light. Night mode is automatically activated in the dark, thanks to the new ambient sensor. It is the brightest screen ever released on an Apple Watch.
Its durability under adverse conditions has been tested at the greatest depths and mountain heights, reaching up to 9000 meters. Its battery remains at 36 hours and 72 hours in low power mode.
The Watch Ultra 2 starts at $799.
