As everything suggests, the gap between the iPhone and iPhone Pro features is expected to widen by 2023. According to information, the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max will have available WiFi 6E connectivity, while the non-Pro will not!
A document that leaked and describes the antenna architecture of the iPhone 15 series, shows that the iPhone 15 and the iPhone 15 Plus will continue to use the older WiFi 6 standard. It is reminded that some of the most recent Apple devices, including the recently announced M2 variants of Mac mini, MacBook Pro and iPad Pro, have WiFi 6E connectivity, however the company does not have it available on more devices.
If there is a compatible WiFi 6E router to which your device can connect, the standard promises greater connectivity speeds and lower latency time than WiFi 6. Even if the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus will not have WiFi 6E connectivity, they will not be significantly affected, as the majority of homes and businesses use older WiFi 5 and WiFi 6 routers.
The Apple and the Pro models
According to the same information, in the past Apple did not proceed with similar separations. Before the iPhone 14 series, the differences between the Pro and non-Pro models were minimal, except in the camera department. However, last year, only the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max had Apple’s new A16 Bionic chip, the Dynamic Island and the ProMotion function.
According to previous reports, other features that could be exclusive to the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max include Apple’s upcoming A16 chipset, a titanium frame and more RAM for multitasking. The phones could also feature solid state volume and function buttons.
