Apple, the biggest technological giant in the United States, appears to have clearly understood that if it wants to continue operating in China, it needs to fully comply with the rules and not start a new war. In this context, it has decided to remove thousands of mobile gaming applications from its App Store in China. The removal will begin next month, and this is because these particular games don’t have government approval.

Since 2016, many Android app stores have cooperated with the regulatory authorities in China, which demand that all games that users download on payment are subjected to control and obtain the relevant license before publishing.

Approval for the publication of a game on iOS is a very time-consuming process, until now, developers, exploiting the loophole, published their games in advance while waiting for approval, but this no longer applies. Just a few months ago, Apple informed iOS developers that they should expect approval for their games without, however, mentioning any penalty enforcement.

For now, the company has not made any related official announcement.
