The dark mode, Facebook’s dark feature that is available on computers, is soon going to be implemented in the mobile app as well. Facebook confirmed the rumors to SocialMediaToday and according to a representative of the social networking platform the operation has already started in a small group of users.
The rest will have to be patient until the final approval for mass release. The dark mode is already available from Facebook on other popular platforms such as Messenger, Instagram, and WhatsApp. It may seem paradoxical that the company initially implemented the feature on the desktop of computers considering that 3 billion users log onto Facebook every month from their smartphones.
However, according to SMT, the company is gradually activating the dark mode on mobiles in order to limit any potential design problems or dysfunction of the application.
