Until today, both Facebook and Instagram used to suggest friends to us. They would introduce us to people that we might know through mutual friends and encourage us to follow them and interact with them. However, Instagram is stirring the waters with a new feature that will suggest which profiles users should add to their block list!

Soon, Instagram users instead of being suggested followers will see a list of people they are advised to block. Of course, this choice is not random! According to information, the way Instagram will filter the profiles is simple. It will search for the people you have already blocked on Facebook and in turn will call you to “block” them.

This particular feature is under development and is expected to be made public simultaneously with the incorporation of Facebook Messenger into Instagram. This makes sense, given that Instagram will need to search on Facebook for the list of people you blocked. Facebook is currently working hard on the launch of these two functions and soon we will expect to see both the integration of Facebook and the proposed block list on our screens.
