Samsung smartphone fans eagerly anticipate the release of the new Galaxy S21 series. We do too! According to new information, the new smartphone series is set to be announced and released simultaneously in January 2021.

Well-known YouTuber Jon Prosser confirms this information. He revealed that the event will take place on January 14, 2021, when the highly-anticipated Galaxy S21, Galaxy_S21+ and Galaxy_S21 Ultra will be unveiled. He predicts that Samsung will launch the above smartphones about 2 weeks later, and also reveals the available colors, which will be black, grey, white, silver, pink and violet.

As far as the renders of the Galaxy_S21 and Galaxy_S21 Ultra are concerned, they have already leaked. The manufacturer is eliminating the characteristic curves that the screens had. Tech experts are expecting features such as 120Hz displays, Super AMOLED Infinity-O, IP68 certification, stereo speakers, and on-screen fingerprint scanner.

The Galaxy_S21 smartphones are expected to be launched with Android 11 and One UI 3.1, and will be equipped with the Exynos 2100 processor (Snapdragon 875 in China and the US). The Galaxy_S21, S21+ and S21 Ultra models will have 4,000mAh, 4,800mAh and 5,000mAh batteries respectively, and also wireless charging, reverse wireless charging, Samsung Pay, microSD card slot and HDR10+ video playback.

As for their camera, it is speculated that the Galaxy_S21 Ultra will potentially have a five-camera setup, with two telephoto lenses.

Has production of the Galaxy S21 Ultra started?

Many tech sites suggest that the production of the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra has already begun and it is set to reach the market much earlier than expected. Popular leakster Roland Quandt in a characteristic tweet mentioned that partial production of the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra has already begun, although he does not confirm if it is mass production or PVT/DVT trial devices.

The above rumor is likely true as Samsung wants to launch the Galaxy S21 series earlier to counterbalance the lower-than-expected sales of the Galaxy S20 series. Furthermore, it is not ruled out that it will merge Galaxy S and Galaxy Note in order to give higher emphasis on the popular foldable Galaxy Z series. According to other analysts, the release of the Galaxy S21 aims to take advantage of the void in the market caused by developments in Huawei. Thus, although the information is not yet confirmed, we may see the Galaxy S21 series in the market in late December 2020.
