According to information, Samsung leads in development having designed a new 600MP sensor! The news leaked from a tipster who has access to the company’s secrets and reinforces the information with a slide from the presentation of Samsung to its partners.
Although we are still very cautious, the leaked transparency suggests that Samsung is looking for a solution for 4K and 8K resolution videos, which probably comes from a sensor of this size with high resolution that allows zooming without distorting the image.
Even if the rumors are true, we are not going to see such a sensor soon, since based on today’s data 600MP with size 1/0.57’’ and pixel size at 0.8μm, would occupy about 12% of the width of the smartphone which would have to protrude 22mm. Therefore, before release, the size clearly needs to be adjusted!
