The rumor that Apple will release a foldable iPhone has been circulating for several months, with the manufacturer company maintaining silence so far. Any “exclusivity” that has appeared on technology sites or blogs last year turned out to be wrong.
However, a new report talks about a Foxconn iPhone test which involved foldable phones. The information even suggests that two different designs have passed the assembler’s quality checks.
According to the latest information, the tests of the 2 foldable models of Apple were carried out at the Foxconn factory in Shenzhen and were successful. Money UDN claims that the tests were not performed on completed phones but only on their shells and possibly the screens. The test was performed to prove the durability of the folding mechanism.
In addition, it is rumored that one of the two designs of Apple, with a style of an internal folding screen, is quite similar to the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip, or the Lenovo Moto RAZR. The second dual-screen model may remind us of the formidable competitor, the Samsung Galaxy Fold.
But why did Apple choose to test two models? The most likely explanation is that it will evaluate both and will end up with only one final design, which will ultimately be released and could potentially hit stores in the end of 2022.
