Apple has advised its manufacturing partner to increase the production of the iPhone 14 Pro models, due to high demand for these specific devices, according to reliable information.
More specifically, the well-known analyst Ming-Chi Kuo wrote a few days ago on Twitter: “Due to high demand for the iPhone 14 Pro models, my latest research shows that Apple has asked Hon Hai to switch the iPhone 14 production lines to the iPhone 14 Pro models”. It should be noted that Foxconn is officially known as Hon Hai.
In fact, the analyst revealed that Foxconn will convert some of the iPhone 14 assembly lines into iPhone 14 Pro assembly lines, adding that the makeover will amount to approximately a 10% increase in the shipping forecast for the iPhone 14 Pro models. In addition, Kuo noted that this will help increase the average selling price of iPhones during the fourth quarter.
What initial orders had shown
It is worth noting that Ming-Chi Kuo had published a report in mid-September about the pre-orders of the iPhone 14 series.
The demand for the iPhone 14 Pro Max had surpassed that of the 13 Pro Max last year, the iPhone 14 Pro had the same demand as the 13 Pro, while the non-Pro models did not seem to be preferred by Apple enthusiasts.
In fact, even before the deliveries of the new iPhone 14 began, many had reported that the shift to higher quality models would lead to a higher average selling price.
