Android 12 deactivates the apps you don’t use and frees up space

One of the many capabilities of Android 12 is that it will be able to deactivate the apps that you hardly ever use on your mobile phone, in order to ensure more space. The Hibernation, as this particular feature is called, was designed to address the capacity problem of smartphones.

Google, which is behind the development of Android, recently made some changes to the operating system code for smartphones. One of these is the hibernation or deactivation as we would say in Greek, of apps that are not frequently used. These inactive apps will be reported in the source code.

At present, it is not entirely clear how the hibernation status will be activated on Android 12. However, the idea behind activating it is to manage to “empty” the user’s mobile from apps that are not useful to him, leaving room for something new. Developers will first test the beta version of Android in February, while the official beta version that will be accessible to all will probably be ready to be launched in May. The final version of Android 12 is expected to be released on compatible smartphones in September.
