It seems that Apple is abolishing the right to use iOS apps on Mac PCs that have the latest M1 chip. While apps continue to be available on the Mac App Store, some of them, like Dark Sky or Netflix, cannot run on macOS because they do not have the permission of their developer.
Until now, users were able to install the applications without using the Mac App Store, but now Apple does not provide this opportunity. So if you try to install an app that is no longer supported on an M1 Mac running macOS 11.1, you will see the error message “try again later” on your screen.
According to the site 9to5Mac, the message which appears on macOS 11.2 beta is the following: “the app cannot be installed because the developer did not intend to run on this platform“.
