Samsung just announced that it will release the new Samsung Internet 14.0 beta browser, with a refreshed look for optimal viewing experience on Samsung Galaxy foldable devices and additional features on the user interface. Additionally, it offers improved privacy settings, personal data protection, and security.
Improved personal data protection functions
Thanks to Smart Anti Tracking technology which can detect when a website tries to follow users, the updated Samsung Internet 14.0 beta manages to protect users from attacks and attempts to violate their personal data.
It also features a new security control panel that allows the user to monitor and control settings and even see certain statistical data, for example, how many pop-up windows and tracking programs are blocked daily on their device.
Better viewing experience on Galaxy foldable devices
Those who own Samsung Galaxy foldable devices can now enjoy the Flex mode, which allows them to watch video on the top half of the screen, while control buttons appear at the bottom half, for an even more enjoyable viewing experience. Also, the Flex mode is automatically activated via the Video Assistant every time a user plays a video.
Multiple tasks at the same time
The new Samsung Internet 14.0 integrates the App Pair function through which multiple Samsung Internet browsing programs can start simultaneously. The user can see all programs on a unified screen (split-screen) and carry out two or more parallel actions. They can watch a video while searching for information or making online purchases.
Font selection for a personalized browsing experience
Another feature that makes browsing experience more personalised on Samsung Internet 14.0 beta is the font selection. Users can customize the appearance of the text by selecting the font that they like or find easier to read. From the Internet Settings, search for the “Labs” option.
In addition to the above, other useful functions of Samsung Internet 14.0 beta are the following:
- Export to text from S Pen in the Galaxy Tab S7 series: With the help of the S Pen, users can write in text box areas and see their handwriting turn into text.
- Reader Mode: The significantly improved Reader Mode reorganizes pages with dense content to make them understandable and readable.
- Translation Extension: The Samsung Research translation function extends to support 18 languages, making viewing translations easier while surfing.
All the above interesting features will be available to all users in April after the trial period. Users will receive the relevant notification on their device and will be able to enjoy a better browsing experience.
