During the Mobile World Congress (MWC), Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd introduced the usage experience of One UI Watch. The purpose of the design of this new interface is to further enhance the connectivity experience between Galaxy Watches and smartphones. The company states that One UI Watch will be available for the Galaxy Watch on the new unified platform, a result of its collaboration with Google.
Thus, users will enjoy improved performance, seamless connectivity between the Watches and Android Smartphones, as well as access to a greater number of applications. Furthermore, Samsung revealed that the Galaxy Watch, which is expected to come out, will be the first to include the new unified platform and the One UI Watch, which will be introduced within summer.
New Experience Galaxy Watch
The One UI Watch, in conjunction with the unified platform, offers a completely new experience for Galaxy Watches. In this context, if the apps that the user will install on his smartphone are compatible with the watch, then they will be automatically installed on the latter. If a user, for example, decides to customize the clock app on the smartphone, showing different times in cities around the world, then the same will display on the smartwatch. Similarly, if the user decides to block calls and messages from the watch, the same will apply to the smartphone.
The unified platform offers the ability to connect and integrate new functions of popular third-party applications directly to the Galaxy Watch. Given this plethora of collaborations, many users will be particularly satisfied as, for example, it gives the opportunity to those who are fond of exercising to make the most of applications such as adidas Running, GOLFBUDDY Smart Caddie, Swim.com and Strava.
Similarly, users who wish to leverage applications like Calm or Sleep Cycle, which help maintain a balanced everyday routine, will be able to do so. The same applies to those who wish to enjoy music and discover new artists through Spotify or YouTube and of course to users who want to explore their surroundings through Google Maps.
Design
The company will offer a watch dial design tool with optimizations that will facilitate designers in its creation. By the end of the year, Android device developers will create new designs that will become part of Samsung’s ever-growing collection of watch faces.
In this way, consumers will be able to customize their Watches according to their mood, activity, and personality. For all that’s new, visit TheFixers Blog daily. Stay informed about each news of current affairs and the technological world.
