Samsung seems to be gearing up its new models with a new, faster 65W charging solution, and it will be first seen being implemented on the Galaxy S22 models, which are expected to be released in the first quarter of 2022.
This particular piece of information has leaked from many different sources, making it more valid. The codename of the models from this series is reported to be Rainbow RGB, with R being the classic Galaxy S22, G being the Galaxy S22 Plus, and B being the Galaxy S22 Ultra, all three of which will support 65W fast wired charging.
The first rumors of Samsung’s fast charging emerged in January, while in February it was certified with a maximum charging rate of 3.25 Amps at 20 Volts. So as it seems, it’s probably about time for Samsung to leave behind its 25W charging speed.
Although in Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ we already saw a 45W charging rate, the company didn’t exploit this feature in its other models for unspecified reasons. However, everything now points to the Galaxy S22 supporting 65W fast charging, but the charger will be sold separately, while a 25W charger will be included in the packaging.
