The latest smartphones offer users several ways to unlock their devices. The most common are Face ID and the fingerprint scanner. There is always the option of a passcode or pattern for those who prefer a more traditional approach. Samsung is bringing back an even more unusual way to unlock its Galaxy S21 models.
This is Bixby technology, which lets you unlock your phone using a voice command. This feature comes in handy when users have their hands full or cannot unlock their phone by looking at it. Some older Samsung models had this feature, but the company removed it.
According to rumours, however, it is set to bring it back. Specifically, the website SamMobile reports that voice unlocking will be added to One UI 3.1, which will debut on the Galaxy S21 series. The feature is also available in the previous version, so all users will be able to unlock their phone simply by saying “Hi Bixby”!
