Battery life is a concern for many Apple mobile phone users. With this in mind, the company is exploring new charging methods to make their lives easier. According to a recently revealed document, Apple is looking into a battery "health mechanism". The feature will be available in iOS 14.5 for the iPhone 11 and later models.

Specifically, Apple is planning an app that will allow users to check their battery's condition and configure certain settings to help it last longer. Although users will not see dramatic changes or longer battery life throughout the day, the software will work in the background, gradually protecting the battery and extending its overall lifespan.

This feature will initially be available in a beta version, but will soon be released to everyone alongside the launch of iOS 14.5.
