Nowadays, most Android mobile phones and iOS devices offer users a night mode option. In theory, low-light conditions do not stimulate the brain and make it easier to fall asleep.

Users of smartphones and electronic devices are increasingly switching to night or dark mode. Many believe that blue light filters will help them sleep better, but this turns out not to be the case. According to research conducted by Brigham Young University in Utah, these filters do not protect against the harmful effects of the blue light emitted by screens.
The study involved 167 adults aged 18-24, who were divided into groups. The results of the experiment showed that using a mobile phone in dark mode had no effect on sleep. Better sleep was reported only by those who did not look at their mobile phone screens at all shortly before going to bed.
