The upcoming Samsung Galaxy S24 series is already generating buzz, with renowned leaker Ice Universe sharing details about the Ultra model that are flooding the internet.
Let's start with the design. If Ice Universe's claims are to be believed, the Galaxy S24 Ultra will introduce a significant change to its screen design. The new model is expected to be slightly thicker and wider, with more rounded side frames than its predecessor, the S23 Ultra.
The screen's aspect ratio is set to change from 19,3:9 to 19,5:9, meaning the phone will be slightly shorter but wider and thinner.
The screen-to-body ratio is expected to be around 88%, the lowest for a Samsung flagship since the Galaxy S10. Many may wonder why Samsung is making this decision, especially at a time when companies are competing to offer the largest possible screen.
The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra appears to retain the same screen size as its predecessor, the S23 Ultra. However, the move to a flat screen and increased width could make the phone harder to use with one hand. Add the thickness of a protective case, and handling it could become even more challenging.
In the available renders, the S24 Ultra's screen appears as a perfect rectangle, which, combined with the more rounded side frames, makes the phone look larger than it probably is in reality. By contrast, a render of the rival iPhone 15 Ultra suggests that Apple is moving towards a more ergonomic design.
