iPhone 17 Pro: 8 Features Already Rumoured

Although the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max are expected to launch in around 10 months, rumours about Apple's new devices have already begun to surface. Below are the main changes rumoured so far:

1. Aluminium Frame

The iPhone 17 Pro models are rumoured to feature an aluminium frame, unlike the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro, which use titanium. By comparison, models from the iPhone X to the iPhone 14 Pro had stainless steel frames. The back of the new devices will likely be made from a combination of aluminium and glass.

2. Rectangular Camera Bump

One noticeable design change will be the larger, rectangular aluminium camera bump, offering a fresh look and potentially better protection for the cameras.

3. Chip: A19 Pro

The iPhone 17 Pro models are expected to be equipped with the new A19 Pro chip, manufactured using TSMC's third-generation 3nm process. The new chip will offer improved performance and greater energy efficiency compared with previous models.

One rumour specific to the iPhone 17 Pro Max is a reduction in the size of the Dynamic Island, thanks to the use of new materials for the Face ID system, providing more screen space.
