Samsung appears to have delayed the release of the final version of One UI 7.0 (Android 15) for the Galaxy S24 series and older devices once again, despite users' initial expectations that the software would be available alongside the arrival of the Galaxy S25.
According to recent rumours, the company plans to release several additional beta versions before launching the stable version. The current schedule suggests that users may have to wait until late April or early May for the update's official rollout.
More specifically, reports suggest that Samsung plans to release One UI 7 Beta 4 in February, Beta 5 in March and Beta 6 in April. If this schedule is confirmed, the stable version of One UI 7.0 is not expected before late April. This delay also appears to affect the Galaxy S24 FE, which will probably receive the update in May 2025.
Although Samsung has not officially announced the release schedule, the extended beta phase suggests that the company is focusing on improving the software's stability and performance. One UI 7.0 is expected to bring significant design changes and improvements, but some advanced artificial intelligence features may only be available on newer devices with more powerful hardware. Older models, such as the Galaxy S24 and S23 series, may not support certain AI features due to technical limitations.
Samsung previously stated that One UI 7 had been in development for two to three years, with the aim of improving the user experience. However, the repeated delays have disappointed owners of flagship Galaxy devices, who had expected the update to arrive sooner.
So far, the company has not issued an official statement regarding the delay or the final release schedule.
