Samsung has made a much-anticipated announcement, unveiling its groundbreaking Galaxy S24 range, with the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+ and Galaxy S24 Ultra leading the way into a new era. These flagship models are the first to feature Galaxy AI. Equipped with the latest Android 14 software and the innovative One UI 6.1, these devices promise a user experience that surpasses anything that has come before.
Samsung has not forgotten its loyal customers with older devices. The company is excited to announce that Galaxy AI will not be exclusive to the new models. Many older Samsung models will gain these exciting capabilities, taking the user experience further.
The list of devices set to receive the update includes the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, Galaxy S23 Ultra, Galaxy S23 FE, Galaxy Z Fold5 and Galaxy Z Flip5, as well as the Galaxy Tab S9 range. This major step towards integrating artificial intelligence across a wide range of devices is expected to take place in the first half of the year, marking a new cycle of innovation.
The One UI 6.1 update, expected to be fully rolled out by the end of June, will bring the exciting AI features first introduced in the Galaxy S24 range. However, Samsung makes it clear that “many” features does not mean “all”. While users will enjoy a broad range of new functions, some will remain exclusive to the new S24 models. Although the company has not yet revealed exactly which features will be unavailable to owners of older devices, anticipation for the upgrade remains high.
