Until now, both Facebook and Instagram have tended to suggest friends to us. They introduced us to people we might know through mutual friends and encouraged us to follow and interact with them. Instagram, however, is set to shake things up with a new feature that will suggest which profiles users should add to their block list!
Soon, instead of suggested followers, Instagram users will see a list of people it recommends they block. Of course, these suggestions are not random! According to reports, the way Instagram will filter profiles is simple. It will look for people you have already blocked on Facebook and then prompt you to “block” them.
This feature is under development and is expected to be released alongside the integration of Facebook Messenger into Instagram. This makes sense, considering that Instagram will need to look on Facebook for the list of people you have blocked. Facebook is currently working hard to launch these two features, and we can soon expect to see both the Facebook integration and the suggested block list on our screens.
